The 12 Hours of Abu Dhabi ended in an unexpected way for Filip Salaquarda and his co-equipers Francesco Castellacci and Thomas Flohr.

After the seventh time in qualifying (2’11.228), the drivers of the number 14 Ferrari 458 GT3 lined up by team Kessel Racing experienced some electric problems and a double gearbox failure that spoiled the outcome of their race which was eventually ended with a retirement during the sixth hour. Laptimes posted by the three drivers were excellent though, and if it were not for the aforementioned inconveniences, they could have been fighting for the podium.

Filip Salaquarda:
“Our race has been quite troubled despite all the efforts of team Kessel Racing’s men to sort out the problems and avoid the retirement. Francesco, Thomas and I are a solid lineup that can constantly lap on good times: we had the potential to aim to the podium and I hope to have the chance to race again together with them in the future”.
