AF Corse has announced its participation to the 2013 International GT Open with three cars full-time. The stalwart GT team, the current reigning champion which is involved in basically all GT competitions, confirms its strong commitment to the GT Open, where it is present since 2006 (as Advanced Engineering at that time). In the SuperGT category, AF will partner with AT Racing to enter a Ferrari 458 GT2 for Aleksander Talkanitsa sr and jr. The Belarus father-and-son pair have already won three races this year, including two of the Winter Series by GT Sport.

In GTS, the Piacenza-based team will enter a 458 GT3 for a duo of young guns, Italy’s Matteo Beretta and Britain’s Michael Lyons, who will certainly be title contenders. WEC driver Michele Rugolo and Claudio Sdanewitsch will partner at the wheel of another 458 GT3.

As customary, the squad directed by Amato Ferrari will enter additional cars in selected events.
