The start of the new season is fast approaching, with only days to go before the biggest GT3 racing series starts again at Italy’s famous Autodromo Monza. With a full grid of 60 cars taking the start made up of 12 different manufacturers the 2013 season looks to be another exciting year of racing.

Once again fielding a pair of stunning Gullwing SLS AMG GT3′s, Black Falcon, fresh of the back of their second win in the Dubai 24 hour race will be fighting for the top honors in the ProAm and Gentlemen categories.

Racing in car number 18 will see Klaas Hummel, new to the Black Falcon team and looking forward to his first full season in the SLS, pair up with Black Falcon driver, Steve Jans in his second GT3 season and British Formula Renault champion Adam Christodoulou. All three drivers are itching to get the championship started and to see what they can do in 2013 equipped with the mighty SLS.

In car number 19, long time Black Falcon driver, Andrii Lebed from the Ukraine will make his Blancpain Endurance Series debut in the gentleman class. Joining Andrii for 2013 will be the 2012 gentleman class champion, Robert Hissom and the winner of the ProAm category at the Nürburgring in 2012, Oliver Morley.

The quality of the field is once again very high and many manufacturers have come with big upgrades from 2012.  The SLS already proved itself to be strong this year with our great win in the Dubai 24 hours. The team has all been working very hard to prepare for the season. It won’t be easy, but it will make for a great challenge that we are all relishing.”

The Monza race will take place over the weekend of 13 and 14 April and will be shown live in Europe on Motors TV.
