Rebellion Racing made it three-for-three Saturday morning setting the pace with the fastest lap in the final 25-minute warm up for today’s American Le Mans Monterey. Nick Heidfeld drove the No. 12 Lola B12/60 to a lap of 1:15.632 (106.526 mph), completing a weekend sweep for Rebellion Racing atop the charts in practice and qualifying.
Extreme Speed Motorsports finished the session 1-2 on the P2 charts with Scott Sharp turning the fastest lap at 1:21.494 (98.864 mph) in the No. 01 Tequila Patrón HPD ARX-03b. Ed Brown was second in the team’s No. 02 prototype.
Antonio Garcia set the fastest time in GT in the No. 3 Compuware Corvette Racing C6 ZR1 with a lap of 1:24.469 (95.382 mph); Luiz DiaZ was fastest in PC for PR1 Mathiasen Motorsports at 1:21.352 (99.036 mph).
NGT Motorsports led GTC with Nick Tandy turning a lap of 1:28.917 (90.610 mph) in the No. 30 MOMO Porsche 911 GT3.
Saturday’s American Le Mans Monterey from Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca is the third round of the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón. ESPN2′s coverage begins at 4 p.m. ET on Sunday, May 12 with live coverage is available on ESPN3 starting at 6:15 p.m. ET on Saturday.
