American race car driver Rodin Younessi has joined Boutsen Ginion Racing team to contest the 24 Hours of Le Mans taking place June 22-23, 2013 at the Circuit de la Sarthe, Le Mans, France. He will share the wheel of the team’s LMP2 car, during what will be, the event’s 90th anniversary.
“In racing, I have overcome many roadblocks along the way, and the faces who have tried to sway me away from pressing forward have all dwindled into a forgotten past. I am overwhelmed by the opportunity I’ve been given to compete in the 90th Anniversary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans; the feeling is surreal. I am grateful for the faith, confidence, and the once in a lifetime opportunity that Boutsen Ginion Racing has given me to be at the helm of their LMP2 car. Victory lane does not wait for anyone, but our team is coming!” – Rodin Younessi.
Younessi is currently contesting the 2013 Blancpain Endurance Series, the world’s best supported GT racing series. The next race weekend is at Silverstone (June 1-2), followed by Paul Ricard (June 29-30), the prestigious 24 hours of Spa-Francorchamps (July 24-28), and the season finale, Nürburgring 1000km (September 21-22).
