It will be the 24-hour event of the year. Only a few days to go until the highlight at the Nürburgring! Countless fans will travel to the Nordschleife for the big motorsports event. However, Dörr Motorsport will not only focus on lap times and engine power at this year’s ADAC Zurich 24-Hour Race. Evelyn and Rainer Dörr will launch an exceptional fund-raising campaign in 2013. The initiators created a very special campaign with the slogan “1 kilometre 1 Euro” with support from Pirelli. The tyre manufacturer will donate one Euro to the Histiocytosis Association for every kilometre completed by a Dörr Motorsport Toyota GT86.

This will be an additional motivation for Team Principal Rainer Dörr and his drivers to complete the ADAC Zurich 24-Hour Race successfully. The proceeds of the Dörr Motorsport fund-raising campaign will be donated to the Histiocytosis Association. Each kilometre completed will bring in one Euro for the association based near Frankfurt. A total of 120 to 140 laps should be completed on the almost 24.36-km track during the race. “We are happy about this commitment from our partners,” says Rainer Dörr. “Trying to do something good off the track with our ambition in sports is always worthwhile.”

A long-time member of the Dörr Motorsport team brought up the idea for “1 kilometre 1 Euro”. His daughter was diagnosed with histiocytosis, a rare and little-researched disease affecting bones or organs. More information will be available during the event. Dörr Motorsport will be located at pit #20, where individual donations and motorsports fans are welcome.
