A win and three podiums out of four races and now Villorba Corse faces the third 2013 International GT Open round to be held over the weekend of June 2 at the Nurburgring. Last year the legendary German circuit was the scene of their first win of the season and the Italian team led by Raimondo Amadio comes back there in search of another good result with the Ferrari 458 GT2 of Andrea Montermini and Luca Filippi. The Villorba crew is leading overall and Super GT class standings with Montermini first and Filippi second but the Nurburgring will not be an easy job as, because of their excellent results, the former F1 driver from Modena and the young GP2 winner from Cuneo will start race-1 with a very high time handicap to be paid during the mandatory pit-stop. Moreover, new competitors have been announced and weather conditions could vary during the weekend.

“After last year’s win – says Amadio, Team Principal – we are very pleased to come back in Germany. It will be a very challenging weekend so, as usual, we will try to give our best. The start to the season has been very positive and the aim is to optimize the results of each round as much as possible. We have two very close and professional drivers, for sure that will help us in every condition.”
