A great experience for our 2 new LMP2 drivers, Alex Kapadia, from UK, and Khaled Al Mudhaf, from Koweit. And their first checkered flag ! The 2 drivers have enjoyed the LMP2 class and the ELMS championship.

Free practices on a dry track, a very wet one for the qualifying session (4 red flags in 20 minutes !), changing weather conditions during the race. But for a first LMP2 experience, our drivers could appreciate the european climate. First wonderful stint for Alex Kapadia, from P8 to P4. Khaled, who had just arrived from Koweit, is more used to slick than wet tires. Finally, the most important was that we finished the race.

Khaled Al Mudhaf : “The best experience in my life ! This is the most professional and friendly team I ever met !”

Alex Kapadia : “I am extremely happy with this first experience in LMP2. The team did a maximum to get where we are. I really look forward to race at Castellet within 2 weeks!”

Olivier Lainé (Team Manager) : « Every step is important. Our primary objective was to finish the race. Our new drivers did pass the checkered flag and they enjoyed the experience. Khaled told us that he had never raced in the rain before ! If he continues to race in Europe, he will get used to it !”

Massimo Bottiglieri (Engineer) : “A very tough race and difficult weather conditions for the first race in a LMP2 for the drivers ! Alex did a fantastic job and was part of the fastest drivers on track. Khaled was able to finish the race despite his difficult start on a splippery track with cold tires. He demonstrated his fighting spirit ! A real pleasure to work with them ! Let’s go to Castellet.”
