For the first time, Endurance-Info is pleased to have a British driver who will write a chronicle. Rob Bell joined indeed Manu Collard, Romain Dumas, Guillaume Moreau and Xavier Pompidou. Le Mans Series Champion in 2007 and 2008, Rob will sign a monthly chronicle. We thank him and are proud to have him among us !

« Hello and Happy New Year to all readers of Endurance-Info ! I will be writing a chronicle throughout the season. I hope you enjoy reading about a driver from the other side of the channel !

« I will be racing in the LeMans Series with JMW Motorsport and the FIA Championship with CRS Racing, both in a GT2 430 Ferrari. JMW are hopeful of getting an entry for LeMans 24hrs and if they do, I will race for them. I had agreed to race with Tafel Racing at Sebring and PLM but unfortunately they will not be racing this year. I am currently looking for a drive for these races.

« I think both series will be very competitive and i’m looking forward to the challenge. As in 2008 I will be using Dunlop in LMS and Michelin in FIA which will be interesting because both manufacturers are very committed to GT racing and produce excellent tyres. I am racing for great teams and always with other pro drivers. My goal will be to win everything I compete in. I know I will have to work very hard to achieve this and I hope to I will have luck on my side also !

« I have decided to stay in GT2 for another year and will do for many years to come I think. It is great racing, with as many pro drivers as any other category and has new manufacturers coming in. I have worked very hard to build my reputation in GT2 and I am happy to stay here for now. At some point I would like to drive in Prototypes and I will look at all opportunities in the future.

« I was at the Autosport show last week mainly to meet up with both team bosses and also I was being interviewed on the main stage about my season ahead. I took part in the Charity Kart race for CRS. This is a great event and lots of fun, organised by David Brabham and lots of sportscar and GT drivers taking part. We didn’t win…are kart broke down !

« I am back in training now after having a break for Christmas and New Year. I will be doing some coaching work for Manor Competition in Formula Renault throughout the year and this will start at the end of Jan. My first test will be 15th 16th Feb in Estoril with JMW and Dunlop. Then off to Guadix after that with CRS. OK that’s all for now, »

Rob.
