One week after confirming its second entry at the legendary Le Mans 24 Hours, IMSA Performance Matmut is delighted to confirm its two driver line-ups for the race:
Porsche 997 GT3 RSR #76
Raymond Narac (FRA) – Patrick Pilet (FRA) – Patrick Long (USA)
Porsche 997 GT3 RSR #70
Horst Felbermayr Jr (AUT) – Horst Felbermayr Sr (AUT) – Michel Lecourt (FRA)
Franck Rava (Team Manager – IMSA Performance Matmut):
“We are delighted to have concluded this partnership with the Felbermayr-Proton team. This will allow our two teams to each run a lead car and share our expertise and resources to run a second car, in which we are delighted Mr Felbermayr is joined by his son. We are also thrilled that it will allow Michel Lecourt to compete in his first Le Mans 24 Hours. He will be a rookie at this famous event, but that doesn’t account for the many seasons he has had in motorsport. In addition, with the accumulative amount of experience of our other drivers, he won’t have to look far to get any advice!”
Christian Ried (Team Owner / Felbermayr Proton):
“This was a simple decision. During a conversation with Franck and Raymond, we realised that neither of us had decided on the crew for our second cars, should they be invited to the race. We then asked ourselves whether we could join forces and place two of our regular Le Mans Series drivers in the car. That is what we have managed to do. The agreement is good news for both IMSA Performance Matmut and Felbermayr-Proton. We know each other well and have been running Porsches for a long time and have very experienced endurance racing drivers.”
