Patrick Long qualified the Flying Lizard No. 45 Porsche 4th in GT and Darren Law was 10th in the No. 44 for tomorrow’s race, the Tequila Patrón American Le Mans Series at Long Beach. The No. 62 Risi Ferrari is on the GT pole.

Long commented, “It was a productive day considering the limited amount of track time: we were able to get through a lot of setup work. I was confident about the race car going into qualifying but the traffic made it difficult. I was able to salvage things at the end on lap 7 and move up to fourth. It’s clear that one of the themes for tomorrow’s race will be traffic management. There are 36 cars on the grid and 10 of those are the slower GTC cars. But I do think we are within striking distance of the sharp end and we’ll have plenty of time to make up positions in the race.”

Law added, “I’m definitely not happy with our result, but I do feel like we have a solid racecar for tomorrow. We were fighting a small issue with the car in the session and traffic was really tough early on. I guess that’s a taste of what the race will be like tomorrow. That said, we’ve had good results here in the past and personally I like this circuit -I’m looking forward to getting back on track tomorrow.”
